I know I haven’t posted anything in a long, long time (more than 2 weeks?), but life has sped up lately. But I did want to mention a rare occurence in this climate of recession AND the drumbeat of the death of the printed page, newspaper and book.

Mike O’Brien, who owned the recently departed Bookstore on W. 25th, has set up shop in Tremont. The new bookstore, Scriptoria, opens tomorrow from 10 AM to 3:30 PM in the basement of Zion United Church (2716 W. 14th St.) The store’s web site is here. The PD article is here.
