Devoted over two hours to Sydney Tower (1,000 feet), which means waiting in line to buy tickets for the observation deck, waiting in line to take the elevator to the top, waiting in line for the elevator back to the bottom, and actually observing Sydney and its surroundings from the top. It was well worth it, though.

On our way down, an attractive chatty Aussie lady was telling us all about the winters in Sydney. Apparently, she was very cold. “I’m wearing my thermals right now” she tells us, then gives us a peak at them. Very friendly people, these Aussies.

This view is looking east over the eastern burbs toward the Tasman Sea.
